Cynthia Reeser reviews A Model Year in the latest December NewPages. Thanks Cynthia! Also in this issue, John Madera reviews one of my favorite books of the year, justin sirois's MLKNG SCKLS. You can read all of the December reviews here.
Just checked out your review. It looks like we picked up on similar themes. That "uncooking" scene is brilliant. And you're right, it is such a "smart and compassionate little book."
Gina Myers is the author of A Model Year, and several chapbooks, including False Spring (forthcoming from Spooky Girlfriend). She currently lives in Atlanta, GA where she runs Lame House Press.

No problem. It is a great book--I reviewed it for BookSlut, but I was nowhere near as thorough as you were!
